In Queensland, you are a minor until you turn 18 years of age. It is against the law to pierce the genitals or nipples of a minor. Your parents cannot give consent for this sort of piercing. Valid photo ID must be provided as proof of age prior to any nipple or genital piercing. For all other piercings, there is no legal minimum age requirement. However, at CB Ink Tattoo, we unfortunately won’t pierce anyone under the age of 10. While minors do not legally require parental permission or accompaniment, we recommend parents are informed and involved in the piercing process. We take our responsibilities to our clients very seriously and want to ensure you fully understand the long term impact and risks involved. Therefore, our policy is that if you are between 10 – 18 years of age, you will need your parent/legal guardian to accompany you and complete our consent form and provide evidence of parent/guardian on a Medicare card. Please note that our piercer will have an initial consult with you on the day prior to proceeding with any piercing in order to discuss all factors involved (eg. age, piercing type, piercing location, etc) and it will be at the discretion of our piercer as to whether the pericing requested would be suitable in all the specific circumstances. We want to ensure you’re informed and have the best experience possible!
