DOES GETTING A TATTOO HURT?
Tattooing involves repeatedly piercing your skin’s top layer with a sharp needle covered with pigment. So getting a tattoo is usually painful, however, each individual has different pain thresholds. Pain from tattooing is generally tolerable though.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO GET A TATTOO?
The cost varies on the size of your tattoo, the complexity, and where you put it on your body. Our prices start at $90.00 and go up from there. CB Ink Tattoo freely admits WE ARE NOT THE CHEAPEST! Remember, you get what you pay for and only have one chance to get one tattoo on that one spot on your body. Do it right! Go to a pro!
HOW CAN I PAY FOR MY NEW TATTOO?
We accept cash, card, Paypal, bank transfer and InkPay.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY NEW TATTOO?
We at CB Ink Tattoo highly suggest taking care of your new tattoo with the following steps:
- WITHIN 2 HOURS: No Cream – Keep It Clean. Gentle clean with warm soapy water. Pat dry and allow to air freely. Don’t wrap it back up!
- DAY 1 & 2: No Cream – Keep It Clean. Let your body do the healing. Gentle clean under warm water – twice daily. Pat dry and allow to air freely.
- DAY 3 ONWARDS: Keep It Clean – Apply That Cream. Gentle clean under warm water – twice daily. Pat dry and apply that cream.
- DO use anti bacterial hand wash or gentle body wash with every wash to keep your tattoo hygienic.
- DON’T use bars of soap as they can hold bacteria.
- Apply after care very sparingly. Don’t smother your tattoo – it needs to breathe too. One pea sized amount per 20cm.
- Apply after care until fully healed.
- Only touch with freshly cleaned hands.
- No swimming until fully healed (approx. 2 weeks).
- Avoid sun exposure until fully healed.
CB INK TIPS
If you have any questions about your new tattoo or the healing and after care process, don’t hesitate to contact us!
WILL MY TATTOO FADE?
Yes, all tattoos will inevitably fade over time. Apart from aging, one of the main contributors to tattoo fading is sun exposure.
CAN I BRING MY OWN DESIGN?
Just about any design you can think of can be made into a beautiful CB Ink Tattoo. You are more than welcome to bring in your own design ideas. If you already know what you want, great, it is very simple to convey your idea to our artists. The easiest way is with a picture. It doesn’t matter what the picture is on (keychain, t-shirt, book, drawing…etc.). Even if you can’t draw, our tattoo artists still love to do the custom work. Just describe it well or even bring in a stick drawing. We can turn it into your dream tattoo on paper right before your eyes.
CAN YOU FIX MY OLD TATTOO?
Old tattoos can be reworked into a fresh work of art. Color can be added to brighten your existing tattoo or with a little creativity even turned into a completely new (although larger) tattoo. There’s no use in going through life with “Susan” tattooed on your arm if you love “Pam”! Just to note with cover-ups, while we do everything we can to completely cover the original tattoo, there is always a challenge in doing this and, of course, tattooing fresh skin will always have the best results. Our artists will advise you with your options on what will cover the piece and you can make the final decision based on their expert opinion. Sometimes laser is required where the existing tattoo is too dark to cover with anything but solid black. Laser to lighten an existing tattoo is recommended to get the best results, this will allow the artist to have more options in what will cover the piece.
IS IT SAFE TO GET A TATTOO?
A CB Ink Tattoo is put on under the strictest of sanitary conditions. We use a totally disposable tattoo system! Every instrument is new before going into a high pressure, high temperature autoclave for approximately one hour. Everything is disposed of after every tattoo, and the entire area sanitized. Our procedure consists of individually wrapped instruments that are only opened in front of you. (If you choose to go somewhere else, insist on this same procedure).
IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE FOR TATTOOS?
In Queensland, it is illegal to tattoo anyone under the age of 18. We will require you to show photo ID prior to commencing your tattoo.
CAN I BRING MY OWN JEWELLERY?
NO! CB Ink Tattoo uses only the highest quality jewellery available. It is sonically cleaned and then autoclaved for your protection. There is no jewellery exchange or re-use of even our own jewellery. You must purchase your jewellery from CB Ink Tattoo in order for us to ensure our high quality of standards. Remember, SAFE IS SMART.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY NEW PIERCING?
We at CB Ink Tattoo highly suggest taking care of your new piercing with the following steps:
KEEP IT CLEAN!
If you have any questions about your new piercing, the jewellery, the healing process or your next piercing, please don’t hesitate to contact us!
WHAT KIND OF JEWERLY DO I GET?
All CB Ink Tattoo jewellery is made of 3016 implant quality surgical stainless steel, and there are many different styles to choose from along with dangling charms and different coloured semi-precious stones
DOES GETTING A PIERCING HURT?
Generally, piercings don’t hurt. The actual piercing only takes seconds, and the only discomfort you get is just getting used to having the jewellery in.
DO WE USE A PIERCING GUN?
No. We do not use piercing guns, even for earlobes, as they cannot be properly sterilised and are prone to damaging the tissue which delays healing or may lead to permanent damage. At CB Ink Tattoo we use single use, sterilised, hollow piercing needles. This is the safest way of getting pierced. Needles are generally cleaner, more accurate and less painful than guns. They also allow for better healing and less chance of rejection.
HOW MUCH DOES A PIERCING COST?
All our piercings cost between $50.00 and $70.00. That price includes the jewellery, procedure, and individually bagged sterilization of all products
HOW OLD DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO GET A PIERCING HERE?
In Queensland, you are a minor until you turn 18 years of age. It is against the law to pierce the genitals or nipples of a minor. Your parents cannot give consent for this sort of piercing. Valid photo ID must be provided as proof of age prior to any nipple or genital piercing.
For all other piercings, there is no legal minimum age requirement. While minors do not legally require parental permission or accompaniment, we recommend parents are informed and involved in the piercing process. We take our responsibilities to our clients very seriously and want to ensure you fully understand the long term impact and risks involved. Therefore, our policy is that if you are under 18 years of age, you will need your parent/legal guardian to accompany you and complete our consent form and provide evidence of parent/guardian on a Medicare card. Please note that our piercer will have an initial consult with you on the day prior to proceeding with any piercing in order to discuss all factors involved (eg. age, piercing type, piercing location, etc) and it will be at the discretion of our piercer as to whether the pericing requested would be suitable in all the specific circumstances. We want to ensure you’re informed and have the best experience possible!
