Your brows will go through several stages before they’re fully healed, typically within 4-6 weeks. You may notice scabbing, flaking, and fading during this time, which is totally normal! The final colour and shape will settle once your skin has regenerated, so try not to judge the results too early.
Direct sun exposure should be avoided for at least two weeks following your appointment, as UV rays can interfere with pigment retention and fade your results. Wear a hat and stay in the shade when possible, especially in the first few days after your session.
During the healing journey, treat your brows gently and avoid excessive sweating, swimming, exfoliating products, and makeup on the healing skin. Your artist will walk you through a complete list of dos and don’ts to protect the results and avoid any irritation.
Right after your initial procedure, we recommend keeping the treated area clean and covered, usually with an applied sanitary cover that our team provides. For the first few hours, it’s vital that you keep your tattoo covered and away from sunlight. Later in the day, before you shower, you can remove the cover for cleaning. Wash with lukewarm water and unscented soap, very gently. Apply your aftercare ointment after carefully drying with a paper towel. To ensure proper healing, be gentle and avoid over-applying products.
All pigments and numbing agents used at CB Ink are high quality and patch-tested, but allergic reactions can still occur in rare cases. We offer a patch test for anyone concerned, and we encourage clients to disclose any known sensitivities during consultation.
Yes, a touch-up appointment is part of the complete process. It’s usually scheduled 6-8 weeks after your first session to refine the shape, colour, and balance. Since everyone heals a little differently, this step ensures your brows look their absolute best long-term. Don’t skip it!
